Response Service
The Media Response unit of AMN is responsible for collecting calls made in response to free offers advertised on television, radio, print and the web. Reposes collected are sent to the nearest church to follow up and deliver the items requested.
How it works
Here is an example of how the process works.
- The It Is Written program on Australia’s Channel 7 at 3:30am Sunday morning has a free offer at the end of each program.
- The people phone the number displayed, 1300 300 389, and here a message asking them to clearly leave their name, address, phone number and what offer they are requesting.
- Once the message is collected, it is then copied into a program, Alpha Australia/New Zealand, and the addresses are sorted by town and allocated to the nearest distribution location.
- These sorted responses are then sent to the distributors for them to follow up or labels are printed for mail out offer.
The media response team collect and distributed items such as DVD’s, (Search Video Series, Who is Jesus, Beyond the Di Vinci Code, Digging up the past and Taking Charge of your Life), Discovery Courses, Health Booklet requests, from Health Age Assessments, and more.
Early media response days saw three typical answering machines used to collect calls. During strong advertising periods, the tapes would need to be changed frequently and some calls would be lost, especially overnight.
Now, using an outsourced interactive phone menu system, we can collect calls 24/7, including an unlimited amount of calls at any second from Australia and New Zealand.
Up to 15,000 calls are received in a year.
