The official media pass of the Adventist Media Network and the communication department of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the South Pacific identifies the bearer as a registered and accredited news correspondent.The bearer can carry this card and use it to:
The media pass does not have the legal merits of government-issued cards, and they will not replace event-specific passes; the card only serves as proof of its bearer’s status as a legitimate newsperson. As such, card-carriers may be better able to obtain interviews, acquire information from law-enforcement, or gain access to exclusive venues.It will also mean that the bearer has undergone some basic training and/or had proven experience in media and public relations. Every year, the local Seventh-day Adventist Church conference and/or the South Pacific Division Communication department will run training days on writing, media and public relations. Some of these will be held at camp meetings. Others will be held at the Conference Office, at the Adventist Media Network office in Wahroonga, New South Wales, or in regional centres.You will have to undergo a review process in order to receive an official media pass and they will be valid for up to 2 years.To apply for an official media pass, please provide us with your:
