Discovery Courses
The Adventist Discovery Centre (ADC) is the interactive learning centre of AMN. Having roots which stretch back to 1936, when the first Bible Correspondence School had links with Sydney radio station 2UE, we now service the needs of the Adventist Church in the South Pacific, as well as people from around the world.
Our courses are advertised through various publications, television programs, on the netAdventist web platform and through Google Adwords. Through all these means we are reaching people all over the world. We have students in 1/4 of the countries of the world.

What's New?
We are about to launch an updated Jesus – Light of the World correspondence course. It is a brilliant devotional study on the life of Jesus. The redesign will include new text, new artwork and a new layout. It will make this one of our most well-received courses for those wanting to study about the most popular Man in history. |
The archaeological advanced level course called DIGGING DEEPER, will be joining the online course selection soon. This course will excite those who love the Bible, archaeology, history and photography. All these elements come together with field archaeologist David Down’s comprehensive scripts covering the major civilisations of history. |
Our Courses
We offer 13 courses covering five categories:
- Lifestyle

- Relationships

These courses may be studied online or by correspondence.

Correspondence Courses We have 13 free correspondence courses available to Australian & New Zealand residents which are posted out in installments, with a review sheet inserted in each reading guide. When the completed review sheet is returned to the Discovery Centre, an instructor marks it and sends out the next reading guides. Once the course has been completed the student receives a certificate of recognition. All courses are offered in English and some are offered in Cambodian, Chinese, Greek, Italian, Polish, Russian and Spanish. |
Sponsors
All Adventist Discovery Centre courses are free to the public. There is no cost and no obligation, either stated or implied.
The costs of producing, printing, stocking, advertising and servicing the courses are covered through several sources of income.
- Local Seventh-day Adventist churches in Australia and New Zealand donate money each year to provide Discovery courses.
- The Seventh-day Adventist church head office in the South Pacific gives an annual sponsorship to help with expenses.
- Students often show their appreciation, either during or at the completion of a course, by sending a financial gift. These are always gladly received and acknowledged with an official receipt.
- Donations are received from past students, or “Friends of the Discovery Centre” who believe in this community service.
